UNDERGRADUATE STUDY OF KINESIOLOGY
The undergraduate study of kinesiology is aimed at acquiring fundamental knowledge about human movement and its role in preserving health, developing abilities and improving the quality of life. The field of kinesiology encompasses education, sports, recreation and kinesitherapy, which today form an important part of modern society and everyday life.
The study is aligned with the needs of the labor market and the strategic guidelines for the development of the Republic of Croatia, with particular emphasis on the importance of physical activity and health throughout the lifespan. Upon completion of the study, students gain the foundation for further specialization and professional development in various areas of kinesiology.
Applicants who are eligible to enroll in undergraduate studies are:
- completed four years of secondary education
- have passed the state matriculation examination in accordance with applicable regulations
In addition to the general requirements, applicants must:
- to take and successfully pass the classification procedure
- meet the prescribed health criteria
Upon completion of the study, the professional title is acquired:
university bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, univ. bacc. cin.
Upon completion of the undergraduate study of kinesiology, students acquire basic knowledge and skills for implementing kinesiological processes in the fields of sports, recreation, education, and kinesitherapy.
Students are trained to:
- planning, programming and implementation of basic kinesiology programs
- implementation and management of kinesiology activities in practice
- working with individuals and groups in a sports and recreational environment
- monitoring and evaluating the effects of physical exercise
- adapting activities to the age, abilities and needs of users
- teamwork in sports, educational and recreational systems
After completing your studies, employment opportunities include:

- physical activity programs in the public and private sector
Students are enabled to continue their education in graduate studies in kinesiology and related studies.
- Demonstrate and apply basic principles and methods of work in various areas of kinesiology.
- Analyze the dimensions of the anthropological status of man and the basic groups of motor skills.
- Apply appropriate measuring instruments and use digital tools for collecting, processing and statistical analysis of data in the diagnosis of the anthropological status of man and interpret the results for the purpose of planning and evaluating kinesiology programs.
- To plan, program and implement the training process and the transformation of different characteristics and abilities of a person according to the set goals.
- Describe and apply the basic methodology of creating different kinesiology programs.
- Explain and demonstrate the correct execution of technical and tactical elements in various sports and recognize basic errors in execution.
- Apply health, safety and legal guidelines and principles of professional ethics in kinesiology practice, including providing first aid.
- Analyze the relationship between sport, physical exercise and society and apply effective forms and methods of communication in a kinesiological context.
- Organize and conduct sports and recreational competitions in accordance with safety and ethical principles.
- Work independently and in a team and present the results of professional and research work orally and in writing.
- Assess your own competencies and plan further professional development in accordance with the principles of lifelong learning.
