GRADUATE STUDY OF KINESIOLOGY
The graduate study program in Kinesiology at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, is focused on educating experts in the field of sports, physical exercise and health.
The study lasts two years (four semesters) and upon completion, 120 ECTS credits are awarded. The program is based on the long-standing tradition of education in kinesiology in Split and is aligned with modern scientific and professional knowledge.
In conducting the study, cooperation is achieved with numerous institutions and partners from the sports, health, and education systems, ensuring a strong connection between theory and practice.
Applicants who have completed a university undergraduate degree in kinesiology or physical education have the right to enroll in graduate studies.
The ranking of applicants is determined based on the average grade achieved during the undergraduate study.
Upon completion of the study, the professional title is acquired:
Master of Science in Kinesiology, Master of Science in Kinesiology
Upon completion of the graduate study program in Kinesiology, students are trained to independently, responsibly and professionally perform complex tasks in the field of kinesiology, sports, physical exercise and health.
Students develop competencies for:
- planning, programming and implementation of complex kinesiology processes
- implementation and interpretation of diagnostic procedures and application of results in work
- making professional decisions in various work situations
- working with different populations (children, youth, adults, athletes, recreational athletes)
- development, improvement and evaluation of kinesiology programs
- participation in research work and application of research results
- cooperation with interdisciplinary teams
Upon completion of their studies, Masters of Kinesiology graduates are qualified to:
- managing and implementing programs in sports, recreation and health
- conducting testing and monitoring functional and motor abilities
- work in educational, sports and healthcare systems

- Critically plan, program and evaluate the procedures and methodology for developing various programs in the field of applied kinesiology, in accordance with the principles of scientific validity and ethical practice.
- Critically integrate measuring instruments, advanced diagnostic procedures and statistical analyzes in the assessment of the anthropological status of man and interpret the results for the purpose of planning, programming and evaluating the effects of kinesiology programs.
- Analyze and interpret the dimensions of anthropological status and classify different groups of motor knowledge in the context of kinesiological theory and practice.
- Construct, implement and evaluate kinesiology programs aimed at transforming anthropological characteristics and motor abilities, based on scientific knowledge and the principles of individualization.
- Analyze and demonstrate the correct execution of technical-tactical elements in various sports and areas of kinesiology practice.
- Apply and monitor the implementation of health, safety and legal provisions and professional ethics and standards of kinesiology practice, including the provision of first aid.
- Analyze the social and cultural aspects of sports and physical exercise and effectively use various forms and channels of professional and public communication in promoting kinesiological values.
- Plan, organize and evaluate sports and recreational competitions in accordance with professional, safety and ethical standards.
- Act independently and as a team in different contexts of kinesiology practice, present work results orally and in writing, and plan your own professional development in accordance with the principles of lifelong learning.
- Develop innovative methodological approaches and take responsibility for lifelong learning and professional mentoring.
