The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Split recognizes the importance of lifelong learning and, through various professional development programs, education, and workshops, enables participants to acquire new knowledge in the field of kinesiology. The programs are intended for practicing experts, teachers, trainers, sports professionals, but also for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge and competences in the field of physical activity and health.
The goal of the lifelong learning program is to connect scientific knowledge with practical experience and enable participants to apply the acquired knowledge in a professional and everyday environment.
The Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of Split runs the following lifelong learning programs:
- Educational program for acquiring the requirements for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology
- Educational program for acquiring the requirements, from unrelated higher education institutions, for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology
- Education program for acquiring a level 1 coach micro-qualification
Program objective
Different programs intended for candidates who wish to enroll in the Professional Graduate Study of Kinesiology (majors in Kinesitherapy, Athlete Conditioning, Sports Coaching, Recreation and Fitness) and have the status of a Professional Bachelor of Kinesiology with 180 ECTS credits from other majors.
Mandatory requirements for enrollment
- Non-EU citizens are equal in terms of application and enrollment with EU citizens.
- Completed professional or university undergraduate study in kinesiology with at least 180 ECTS credits
- Medical certificate from occupational and sports medicine or sports medicine on health fitness

- Program for acquiring the requirements for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in kinesitherapy

- Program for acquiring the requirements for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in sports coaching of the selected sport
- Program for acquiring the requirements for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in fitness training coach
Program objective
Different programs intended for people who have acquired a minimum of 180 ECTS (bachelor’s degree) in study programs outside the field of Kinesiology and who wish to enroll in the professional graduate study of Kinesiology (majors in kinesitherapy, athlete conditioning, sports coaching, recreation and fitness)
Mandatory requirements for enrollment
- Non-EU citizens are equal in terms of application and enrollment with EU citizens.
- Completed professional or university undergraduate studies from unrelated higher education institutions with at least 180 ECTS credits
- Medical certificate from occupational and sports medicine or sports medicine on health fitness
- Proof of four years of systematic practice in the chosen branch of sport (only for the sports coach major)

- Program for acquiring the requirements, from unrelated higher education institutions, for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in kinesitherapy
- Program for acquiring requirements, from unrelated higher education institutions, for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in recreation and fitness
- Program for acquiring the requirements, from unrelated higher education institutions, for enrollment in the graduate professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in sports coaching of the selected sport
- Program for acquiring the requirements, from unrelated higher education institutions, for enrollment in the professional graduate study of kinesiology, majoring in fitness training coach
Program objective
The above education programs for acquiring the micro-qualification of coach (selected sport) of level 1 represent the basic, or initial, level of education for performing professional tasks in the selected sport.
Mandatory requirements for enrollment
- Non-EU citizens are equal in terms of application and enrollment to EU citizens.
- Completed previous qualification at least at level 4.1 of the CROQF
- At least 18 years of age
- A medical certificate from occupational medicine or sports medicine confirming your health fitness to attend the program
- Proof of previous involvement in the appropriate sport, if required by the competition for a particular program

- Certificate from the club/association or other appropriate proof of previous sports experience, if required by the competition for a particular program
Note: Additional enrollment requirements, such as the required number of years of practicing a particular sport, sports experience, or testing specific knowledge and abilities, may vary depending on the education program and are listed in the individual competition.
