UNIVERSITY GRADUATE STUDY – INTERNATIONAL BASKETBALL COACHING AND MANAGEMENT
Applicants who have completed an appropriate undergraduate study program, or have obtained a bachelor’s degree in the field of sports or a related field, have the right to enroll in the University Graduate Study Program in International Basketball Coaching and Management, with the possibility of individual consideration of the application depending on the candidate’s previous education.
Applicants must demonstrate an adequate level of English language proficiency, at least at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or an equivalent level confirmed by an appropriate language test or other acceptable evidence. The selection procedure is carried out by a Joint Admissions Committee composed of representatives of the partner institutions, and may include a review of documentation, a letter of motivation, an evaluation of academic achievements, a written test and an oral interview with applicants.

Upon completion of the University Graduate Study Program in International Basketball Coaching and Management, students are trained for professional, coaching, analytical and managerial work in the field of basketball. Upon completion of the study, they can work as highly educated coaches, researchers-analysts of training technologies, and as selectors or managers in sports institutions in Croatia, Lithuania and other domestic or international organizations.
Students acquire competencies for:

- planning, management and evaluation of the training process in basketball
- application of quantitative and qualitative research methods in the field of basketball
- analysis of basketball performance, strategies and contemporary trends in basketball
- development and implementation of research projects in the field of basketball training
- critical assessment of the content of the training process and decision-making in complex sports situations
- clear presentation of professional, organizational and research results
- working with basketball players of different ages and levels of sports development
- assuming responsibility for professional development, quality of work and respect for professional ethics
- Understand and analyze basketball training theories
- Recognize and critically evaluate trends in basketball within the framework of socio-economic and theoretical developments
- Understand and apply quantitative and qualitative methods in basketball training
- Understand the strategic goals of sport in the European context and develop priorities
- Analyze and evaluate changes in basketball in the world and Europe
- Prepare for challenges and lead training processes in basketball
- Apply appropriate research methods in the field of basketball
- Create and implement research projects in the field of basketball training
- Access, analyze and interpret data
- Analyze the characteristics of basketball training, different strategies and options
- Use previous research and theories in a creative and systematic way when solving complex problems in education and sports training
- Show originality when identifying and analyzing needs, creating solutions and evaluating strategies in the context of the basketball training process
- Clearly and convincingly present organizational, professional, and research-scientific achievements
- Critically analyze and distinguish values from strategies and develop the skills needed for a basketball coach

- Analyze the contents of the basketball training process and explain the methods needed in the training process
- Continuously develop research, training and specialist-analytical activities
- Create programs for basketball players and sports training for people of different ages
