Faculty of Kinesiology Split

Department for Kinesiology Education and Methodology

Departments and Chairs
Faculty Headmaster

From the perspective of both practice and theory, the Department of Kinesiological Education and Methodology (ZKEM) is founded on the need to observe, quantify, model, and interdisciplinarily interpret complex kinesiological phenomena using the tools of applied physics, mathematical models, applied statistics, and pedagogy.

The Department comprises two chairs: the Chair of General Methodology and the Chair of Kinesiological Methodology.

Members of the Chair of Kinesiological Methodology are responsible for all methodology-related courses, including Kinesiological Methodology 1 and Kinesiological Methodology 2, as well as related courses.

Members of the Chair of General Methodology are responsible for core methodological courses, including Quantitative Methods 1, Quantitative Methods 2, Systematic Kinesiology 1, and Systematic Kinesiology 2; courses essential for understanding, modelling, kinesiological analysis, and the practical application of fundamental and complex movement structures, such as Biomechanics and Biomechanics in Kinesiology; as well as courses addressing the fundamentals of motor learning, such as Motor Learning.
