The Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, supports the publication of scientific, professional and educational publications resulting from the work of its employees and associates. The Faculty’s publishing activities include works and editions in the fields of kinesiology, sports, health, education and related interdisciplinary areas, with a strong orientation towards high-quality and internationally visible publications.
The Faculty promotes the principles of open science and open access, and through the KIFST Repository in the Dabar system, it ensures the permanent storage and accessibility of final, graduate and doctoral theses, as well as electronic publications of the Faculty.
As part of its publishing activities, the Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of Split regularly publishes proceedings of international scientific conferences, which represent an important channel for the dissemination of contemporary scientific knowledge in the field of kinesiology, sports and applied interdisciplinary research. The proceedings of the conference series Contemporary Kinesiology and the conference Science and Medicine in Aquatic Sports are available in the Faculty’s repository, thereby confirming the continuity of organizing scientific conferences and systematically contributing to the international visibility of research results, the development of academic cooperation and the strengthening of open access to scientific publications.
As part of its publishing activities, the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, also publishes books, textbooks, manuals and monographs in the field of kinesiology, sports and related interdisciplinary areas. The published editions cover topics such as scientific work methodology, water polo, handball, fitness preparation, research methods, recreational activities, sport climbing and professional English, whereby the Faculty systematically contributes to the development of teaching literature, the transfer of professional and scientific knowledge and the availability of relevant educational materials to students, teachers, trainers and the wider professional public.
