Departments are organizational units of the Faculty that organize and coordinate scientific, teaching and professional activities.
The tasks of the Departments are:
- consider issues decided by the Faculty Council
- to consider all issues of scientific teaching and professional work in scientific fields within their scope and to take the necessary initiative to solve problems before the competent bodies of the Faculty
- start the procedure of selection and re-election of head teachers at university studies
- determine scientific research and professional projects
- encourage and monitor the professional and scientific training of teachers and associates of the Institute
- determine plans for teachers’ participation in congresses, symposia, study leaves
- encourage the creation of scripts, manuals and textbooks
- plan the procurement of equipment and consumables for the institute’s needs
- manage, plan, organize and control teaching and the execution of scientific, research and professional tasks within their scope of work
- monitor and analyze the implementation of the annual work plan and its results
- take measures to improve work within the framework of the Faculty’s teaching plan and study program
- take care of personnel renewal and development
- take care of the scientific and professional development of the Institute’s employees
- take care of the availability of teaching literature
- perform other tasks specified in the Statute and other acts of the Faculty and entrusted to him by the Faculty Council or the Dean of the Faculty.
Chairs are the basic organizational form of the scientific and educational work of the Departments. Chairs within the Departments are established for one or more related subjects, in accordance with the established proposal of the Department.
