The Association of Graduate Students of the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split – Alumni KIF Split is a non-profit civic association founded on April 5, 2011, at the initiative of a group of graduate students of the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split.
Its first president was Prof. Dr. Zoran Grgantov
Alumni KIFST is a member of the umbrella association of the Alumni of the University of Split (ASUS), the current president of the ASUS association is Mario Podrug, PhD .
The fundamental goals of the Association’s existence and work are:
- Establishing and maintaining connections between the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split and members of the Association and building mutual relationships and cooperation,
- Collecting feedback from members on satisfaction with acquired knowledge and skills, on current labor market needs in terms of professional professions, including the Association in the internal quality system of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split,
- Preserving the tradition and promoting the reputation of the Faculty in the Republic of Croatia and abroad, developing cooperation between the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split and economic entities or organizations in which members of the Association operate, networking and exchanging experiences of members of the Association,
- Encouraging and improving the professional, scientific, practical, general and social activities of the Association’s members,
- Encouraging cooperation between members of the Association and the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split through the involvement of members of the Association in various projects,
- Participation in international scientific and professional exchange and establishing contacts with similar associations in the country and abroad,
- Encouraging members to engage in lifelong education and training, as well as improving and promoting the work of kinesiologists, and working to raise awareness of the role of kinesiologists in society,
- Improving the activities and promoting the Faculty of Kinesiology as a socially responsible institution.
The association, in accordance with its goals, operates in the fields of kinesiology, education, science, research, international cooperation and sustainable development.
The activities of the Association are:
- Organizing round tables on topics of interest,
- Encouraging the organization of meetings, forums, workshops and lectures for members of the Association,
- Organization and implementation of various programs and projects in the field of kinesiology and interdisciplinary related fields
- Cooperation with other Alumni associations and professional associations in the country and abroad,
- Cooperation with the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split in the field of improving teaching, conducting scientific and professional research and projects
- Providing information to potential and current students regarding studying at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split and employment opportunities after graduation
- Cooperation with student organizations of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split
- Monitoring and encouraging further development of the best students of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split
- Informing about the activities of the Association and the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split, as well as activities related to the personal and professional development of the membership
- Publishing scientific and professional publications and publishing the Association’s newsletter
- Promoting and popularizing kinesiology science and profession
- Organizing meetings of the Association members
- Organizing study trips for members of the Association
- Humanitarian activities
- Establishing foundations and providing scholarships to students
- Development cooperation – education, other development cooperation activities, activities in the field of international cooperation
- Other activities in the fields of education, science and research and other areas of interest
Membership fee
Members of the association pay an annual membership fee of 5.00 euros.

On the 22nd. 12. 2023. The extraordinary election assembly of Alumni KIFST Split was held. At the session, a new presidency of the association was elected: The president of the association is prof. dr. Hrvoje Karninčić, vice-president doc. dr. Mateo Blažević, the secretary of the association is univ. bac. cin. Antea Šipalo Lilić. The board of directors of the association: prof. dr. Hrvoje Karninčić, doc. dr. Mateo Blažević, univ. bac. cin. Antea Šipalo Lilić, mag. cin. Karla Šitić and mag. cin. Miho Tadić. The supervisory board: president prof. dr. Mladen Hraste, mag. cin. Petra Rajković Vuletić, mag. cin.
