The Department of Anthropological Kinesiology and Health<\/strong> was established on multidisciplinary principles, bringing together kinesiological, medical, social sciences, and humanities disciplines. In this way, the Department emphasises the fundamental interconnectedness of these scientific fields, as well as their shared orientation towards the human being in everyday work and life.<\/p>\n

In addition to basic medical courses such as Anatomy<\/strong> and Physiology<\/strong>, and Anthropology<\/strong> as a multidisciplinary science within the Chair of Biomedicine and Anthropology<\/strong>, the Department includes a number of courses focused on recreational physical activities with a health-related orientation. Recreation is understood as an activity that maintains and improves both physical and mental health. At the same time, many recreational activities form an integral part of rehabilitation and therapeutic programmes for a wide range of acute and chronic diseases, including cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, endocrine, metabolic, and mental health conditions.<\/p>\n

This also includes kinesiotherapy<\/strong> and kinesiotherapeutic procedures, which have become an integral part of the multidisciplinary therapeutic approach in contemporary society, within the Chair of Kinesiotherapy and Recreation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finally, but no less importantly, the Department also includes a range of courses in the humanities and social sciences. Although they may appear secondary at first glance, without their highly significant contribution, the understanding of any profession or scientific field, as well as the communication and transfer of knowledge to others, would be incomplete.
