The Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, continuously develops its international scientific visibility and publishing activities through the organization of conferences that bring together researchers, teachers, experts and young scientists from Croatia and abroad. Such gatherings represent an important platform for the exchange of contemporary scientific knowledge, the presentation of new research and the connection of the academic community with practice in the field of kinesiology, sports and health.<\/p>\n

Contemporary Kinesiology<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Contemporary Kinesiology<\/strong> Conference is one of the Faculty’s renowned international scientific conferences. The seventh edition of the conference, \u201cContemporary Kinesiology: Active Lifestyle\u201d<\/strong> , was held from 18 to 20 July 2024, organized by the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split. The conference was particularly significant because it was held as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Split and 70 years of kinesiology in the city of Split, which further confirms the continuity and importance of the Split kinesiology tradition.<\/p>\n

Through the Contemporary Kinesiology<\/strong> conference series, the Faculty systematically encourages discussion on current topics in kinesiology, active lifestyle, sports science and education, and contributes to the international exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of research networks. This conference also confirms the role of the Faculty as an important regional and international meeting place for the scientific and professional community in the field of kinesiology.<\/p>\n

Science and Medicine in Aquatic Sports (SMAS)<\/strong>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another important international conference organized by the Faculty is Science and Medicine in Aquatic Sports (SMAS)<\/strong> , focused on the scientific and professional aspects of water sports. The third edition<\/strong> of this conference was held in Split 9. and May 10, 2025.<\/strong>, with the aim of bringing together leading scientists, researchers, coaches and experts in the field of aquatic sports. The conference was dedicated to exchanging experiences, presenting research results and discussing innovations, trends and practical challenges in this specific area of \u200b\u200bsports science.<\/p>\n

The special value of the SMAS<\/strong> conference is its interdisciplinary nature and focus on connecting science and practice in swimming, water polo, rowing and other water sports.
