Language requirements

Foreign students must show good proficiency of English both in spoken and written form.

Certain courses are in English language but please note that the language of tuition in almost all courses is Croatian. For visiting students (ERASMUS) many of our professors are willing to provide consultations and literature in English or other languages.

You can get a lot more of your stay in Croatia if you know a little of the local language and the social codes. After all, Croatian is the language of the environment in which you are going to live and study and will be an important part of your life in Croatia. Even if your courses are in a foreign language, you should have at least the basic knowledge of Croatian for everyday use and administrative needs.

FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY, CENTER FOR CROATIAN STUDIES OFFERS THE FOLLOWING POSSIBILITIES OF LEARNING CROATIAN:

1. WHOLE SEMESTER COURSES
2. SUMMER SCHOOL OF CROATIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
