Erasmus+: is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for the 2014 – 2020 period.
Erasmus’ includes all European and international programmes and EU initiatives from the area of education, training, youth and sport. Erasmus+ has replaced the previous seven programmes: the Lifelong Learning Programme (with sub-programmes Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig), Youth in Action as well as five other programmes of international collaboration (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulin and a programme of collaboration with industrialised countries and territories). The programme introduces for the first time support in the area of sport.
Erasmus+ is oriented toward strengthening knowledge and skills as well as toward employing European citizens and improvements in education, training and work in the area of youth and sport. The seven-year long programme shall have a €14.7 bn budget which represents an increase all of 40 per cent in relation to the existing programme budgets.

The University of Split has continued its successful participation in the Lifelong Learning Programme and the sub-programme Erasmus through Erasmus+.
A condition for participation in the Erasmus+ programme is Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 which was assigned to the University in 2013.
